Italian Pesto Sliders

Number one favorite dish to serve for a party, these Italian Pesto Sliders are a threat! They are easy to make and serve a lot of people.

Ingredients
  

  • 9 slider buns
  • 7 ounces (2 cups) rotisserie chicken or other suggestions, check notes
  • 6 tablespoons pesto sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese grated
  • 3 tablespoons butter at room temperature
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons scallions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Slice a whole loaf of slider buns lengthwise and carefully removing the top side.
  • Layer the cooked chicken followed by the pesto sauce and use a spoon to spread evenly. Spread the mozzarella cheese and replace the bun top.
  • To a small bowl, add the sliced scallions with butter and mix with a spoon.
  • Brush the buns with melted butter mixed with green onions and garlic.
  • Bake for 20 minutes at 360ºF/180°C to melt the cheese and lightly brown the sliders.

Notes

Storage:
Store the Italian Pesto Sliders in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge. To reheat, bake in the oven at 212ºF/100ºC for 20 minutes.
Suitable for home freezing for up to 3 months. To reheat, bake in the oven at 212ºF/100ºC for 30 minutes.
