  • 1 tablespoon chamomile flowers
  • 1 cup plain flour sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda sifted
  • 2/3 cup white chocolate chopped
  • 7 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 medium egg

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 360º F / 180 C.
  • To a large bowl, stir together the plain flour, chamomile flowers, and baking soda and reserve.
  • To another bowl, add the melted butter with sugar, egg and mix well.
  • Add the wet mixture to the dried ingredients and mix well with a spatula. Add the chocolate pieces or chips and mix to coat.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the dough balls far from each other. Bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to cooking rack to cool to room temperature.

Notes

  • Always choose a good quality chocolate that lists cocoa butter as the first ingredient.
  • We prefect under baked cookies for a chewy and soft texture. The cookies will be fragile right off the oven, but they will harden as it cools.
  • If you allow cookies more time in the oven, they will be more browned and crispy.
  •  Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
